He tried to warn you

Isaac Asimov's Laws of Robotics:

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Additionally, a precursor law, law 0:
A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.

Our real world laws of robots:

  • Fucking ZERO. We don't have any.

And we've broken the laws above several times. On purpose.

Robots have hurt humans by design, or are being created in order to hurt humans by design. And don't forget for a second that our existing death machines are only a few steps away from full-on automation. AI is already twitchy, so once we strap that onto something that can deliver a big bang of a payload, everyone's sphincters should be puckering.

Were you a fan of Second Variety?

Are you into hip games like I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream?

Maybe you even read the short story?

Well, hold on to your ass and strap in, you poor insignificant bastard, because we're on an express elevator to hell if we don't get our shit together.

Here, let's make it simple for the folks out there not following the news. Share this with your friends. It's an old comic from XKCD. Old because people who have been paying attention have seen this coming for FUCKING YEARS:
