A beautiful story.

Meet James Glasbey—he’s been hopping between continents with his fiancé Steph and their baby Rupert as a part of our Live Anywhere program.

After working on the front lines during the pandemic, the new dad and surgical doctoral research fellow has been spending his time learning more about how surgery is done worldwide.

Living nomadically with a baby might seem unconventional, but James assures us the experiences are worth it:

“Rupert has already seen a volcano erupt, an earthquake, Caribbean sunshine, a lunar eclipse, jungles, pyramids, cliffs, sea water, lake water, hot springs, festivals, ancient ceremonies, monkeys, parrots and turtles. He’s been on speed boats, horses, golf carts, tuktuks, catamarans and pick-up trucks, and had his soul blessed, his demons expelled and gifted a special ribbon to protect him from witches’ curses – what

a lucky little 14-month-old he is!”
