You can get your ANC on one of the exchanges. Binance has teamed up with NEO to give you your ANC if you hold it on their exchange. It is also the fastest exchange out there and if you buy a bit of BNB and pay with BNB your fees are cut in half. I have moved my ANS there already and it went smoothly. Also remember that ANS is only recognized in whole amounts. No decimals. Remember that when sending so you add the appropriate transaction fee to your send.
