Coming Soon - The Death of the Sol Empire Book 1: Ana Cross

What a year it has been. In addition to figuratively battling my own demons and learning to fly, I have found my calling as both a gamer and a writer.

As a personal challenge to myself, I have pledged to finish my many-years-in-the-making trilogy, which I have dubbed "The Death of the Sol Empire" and publish it for the world to enjoy. If all goes well, Book 1: Ana Cross will be available on my Patron as an ebook by January 2021. All who pledge $1 or more before January 1st, 2021 will be eligible to receive a signed print copy when it does eventually hit markets, and my eternal gratitude.

It is a strange world, but the people in it are not entirely unlike us. There are two suns-- a red giant that provides warmth to the planet, and a white dwarf that shines somewhat brighter than our moon. This planet, which for the purposes of the story is called Terré, travels around the white dwarf, Luné, thirteen times before it has gone around the red giant, Sól, once.

The people of The Sol Empire are based out of an island chain suspended between two great continents. They believe that they are the direct descendants of Sól, and enforce a heavily regimented caste system, even onto the southern continent which they dubbed "The New World." They enslaved many natives who called themselves Pa'o, conquered huge tracts of land, and kept a stranglehold on any who dared try to settle.

As such you can say this trilogy is the story of a young woman named Ana, who starts as a simple innkeeper's daughter and ends up being the leader of a free nation. In the first book, she makes contact with a strange creature she names Trace who can take her into others' dreams. The Sol say such powers are wielded only by witches, who must have the curse burnt out of their eye sockets with a hot poker. She must avoid this fate at all costs.

The book will be rated M for Mature.
