Will Naruto Kill Boruto?
The fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki in fact is not an easy fight for Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Uzumaki Boruto. The three of them had a hard time defeating Isshiki, because his strength was far above the three of them. In fact, Naruto and Sasuke were not able to give a meaningful attack towards Isshiki.
Naruto himself then activated his last mode, namely Baryon mode, in which Naruto had to risk Kurama's life in this mode. And now Kurama was dead. Isshiki himself was defeated by Kawaki, using the Kagebunshin trick taught by Naruto. The great threat was finally destroyed, and they were all able to return to Konoha thanks to Boruto's Karma seal.
Speaking of Boruto's Karma seal, after the Konoha shinobi returned to Konoha, there was a great upheaval within Naruto who knew that his son didn't have much time to survive. And as Amado stated, that the only way to stop Boruto is to kill him.
Gaara himself then asked Naruto if he was ready to kill his own son. Naruto says he can do it, but we can certainly see how Naruto won't be able to do it. The question then is whether Naruto will really kill Boruto in order to save the world? From what is shown in the story, Naruto is unlikely to do that.
As he revealed to Boruto while talking alone, Naruto wouldn't be able to do that. He realized that he was a father, which of course would not have the heart if he had to take his own child's life to the heart. Naruto said that he would find the best way to solve this thorny problem.
Naruto said he would do anything for Boruto, even if it cost him his own life. Naruto also stated that he would not go back on his word, which meant he had promised Boruto. Naruto realized what Sasuke said, that Kurama was no longer in Naruto's body. This means that there is no longer a strong figure who will help Naruto in dealing with big problems like now.
However, Naruto decided not to give up and tried to find a better way. On the other hand, in manga stories for the shnen genre it is very rare that we see the main protagonists die before their goals or their dreams are achieved. As we know, in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generation series, the main character in the story is Uzumaki Boruto.
Although there are characters from the previous series, their roles are slowly being reduced and replaced by new generations, in accordance with the original purpose of the series. With Boruto as the main protagonist, it's hard to see Boruto die in the story. And also what can be a clue is how at the beginning of the series we saw the figures of Boruto and Kawaki fighting on the ruins of Konoha.
In the moment that will occur in the future, it can be seen how Boruto and Kawaki have reached the age of teenagers to adults. Although it is unknown how long it will take for this to happen, but this could be a big clue that in the future Boruto will not die. Naruto did not kill his son due to the Otsutsukification process. Whether it was Naruto who died or something else happened, we still have to wait for the continuation of the story.
