The rarest animals in the world - #1
This time I come to bring you the rarest animals in the world ... WE START !!
- Cuban Funnel Ears Bat (Natalus primus)
fuerte
This member of the Natalidae family is on the list because of its strange appearance. Recently there have been previously unknown specimens that received the name of bat Yoda, obviously by the fiction saga Star Wars, since it has the peculiar appearance of that personage.
- Tortuga angonoka (Geochelone yniphora)
fuerte
Like many of the rare animal species we will see today, this animal is rare for a really sad reason: they are in critical danger of extinction and are rarely found in nature. The angonoka turtle is in fact the rarest turtle species in the world, because its existence is more compromised than any other turtle.
- Rhinoceros of Java (Rhinoceros sondaicus)
fuerte
Unique in its class, the java rhino is one of the five species of recent rhinos. It belongs to the rhinoceros family of India and its rarity lies in the small size that they develop, besides its appearance, of course.
- Elephant shrew (Macroscelidea)
fuerte
At first glance we find enough reasons to include it in a list like this, but the strangest thing about this animal is its size. The elephant shrew gets its name just for that reason, it is the largest shrew that exists.
- Tree rat of Santa Marta (Santamartamys rufodorsalis)
fuerte
What makes this animal so strange, besides its large size, is that it was believed extinct since 1898. However, they have recently been found in large numbers. Basically, it is a huge rat that inhabits the Colombian jungles.
- Northern Wombat (Lasiorhinus krefftii)
fuerte
The wombat of the north is one of the 2 species of wombat that exist, which of if it gives its peculiarity to him. Of course the most striking of this strange animal is itself its appearance, something disproportionate and almost caricature. It is one of the rarest mammals known and despite everything, is in critical danger of extinction.
Many thanks for reading.
