OUR SECOND SNAKE OF THE YEAR - BROWN SNAKE (Storeria dekayi)
For me, finding creatures like this brings me great happiness!
Even better is the fact that we found it on our own land! In case you don't follow the @little-peppers account, I'll share a little background. Basically, while Monster Truck was helping me move some rocks for our perimeter fence, we happened upon a few reptiles.
Not only did we find this Brown Snake (Storeria dekayi), but we found a Little Brown Skink (Scincella lateralis) as well. For this shoot I just photographed the Brown Snake. If you want to see a few more of Monster Truck with the reptiles, click here.
SOME BROWN SNAKE MACROPHOTOGRAPHY

Snakes look 😎.
Nice pics by the way.
@papa-pepper I post about a big lizard the other day.
Can you please tell me their name? Iguanas I heard!
They were eating avocado flower and having fun in the fence as well.
Unfortunately I am not comfortable with lizards or 🐍.
Keep on steemin’

I am very afraid of snakes what else taking photo @papa-pepper is very brave
I caught a bunch of those last summer. I too am in the Ozarks. Found several Speckled Kingsnakes too.
I love them Speckled Kingsnakes! Can't wait to find more this year.
@papa-pepper is very brave to say proudly the same @papa-pepper And his son too that brave.
When I find them I let them go around the house and garden. Keeps the Copperheads away. Love the water snakes too we have here. When I catch one I plan on making videos.
@papa-pepper You are very brave
Beautiful creature, though looks quite scary. This one seems completely harmless. If it has no venom then I would gladly carry it
I pet a phyton before. Animals including snake can be trained and they can be amazing. My snake lives in my bag. She will just go out to poop and she just let me play with her if I smell good like from bath and smells shampoo. Yes, she is kinda neat. If I cant feed her she will go out and hunt, and after few days she will go back to me. Yes, they can be loyal too. She grew bigger and cant afford to pet her anymore. I sent her back to the wild. I really cried when I set her free. That snake was one of the best pet I ever had.
You mean it? If a snake can still hunt then it still got venom......how did you live in the same house with such a dangerous being.
One of my aunt died of snake bite
If she is talking about a python, then it is a nonvenomous snake.
I gues it is the non venomous snake she is referring to
It looks quite tame and unvenomous. Lovely creature!
How are you to recognize a poisonous snake that is not, are very brave and expert? Congratulations.
