NEWBORN BABY CALF!
Yesterday, our neighbors cow gave birth to a little calf!
Since we got our own heifer a bit back, things like this are even more exciting. Eventually, we now hope to have our own baby calves born on our homestead, but for now we can rejoice with our neighbors. With cute baby animals being born, even if they are larger animals, who can’t help but be happy and enjoy it?
The whole pregnancy and delivery process is amazing just to ponder, but to watch a new mother with her calf is beautiful on a whole different level. Hopefully, everything works out well for this pair and the baby grows up into a healthy, strong cow. Time will tell!
I just wanted to share a small pile of cute photos with you all! I hope that you enjoyed them!
NEWBORN JERSEY HEIFER
SMALL, BUT HEALTHY
This is the mama of the little heifer. So far, everything has gone well, and the calf is nursing and staying warm in a barn. If you compare it to the cowpie on the floor in the photo below, you can see just how little it is.
They sure are cute, especially at this age and size. Thankfully, the mama cow was friendly and nice enough to allow me the opportunity to photograph her little girl. I've never been this close to such a young calf before. It was a very interesting experience.
It always amazes me how small and fragile life begins for so many, and yet, by the grace of God, we grow healthy and strong and are able to enjoy this incredible world. I've not seen one of these getting born yet, but maybe soon. Another neighbor also had a cow calf yesterday. Hopefully we can check that one out soon too.
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

I don't know if those are the kind of cows you name but you should name her Snowball.
Lol, I'll suggest it to them.
Must be Snowball! xD
Cute as button in india when cow gives birth then we make a dairy product "khees" from the first milk as its not good to drink but khess is tasty and healthiet @papa-pepper
Traditionally Jerseys are the calmest, best cream producing cows, a good breed to have if you have access to the bull in the future.
As a kid, we had one old Jersey whose udder had grown to the extent that her teats dragged on the ground and she occasionally stood on them.
Then milking her was fun, as you can imagine.
wow ... that is indeed quite interesting a new year with new a new calf quite a blessing.
I really like cows @papa-pepper.
Welcome to the world
