Bailey Tales: Please turn the rain off
Bailey is my beagle puppy. She’ll be one year old in about a week and has brought much fun and craziness into my life since she arrived home with me in November last year.
Arriving, as she did, into last year’s warm dry New Zealand summer, it wasn’t until February that she saw rain at all. And she is not impressed.
Rain generally sees her sitting on the doorstep trying to decide how much she really wants to go for a walk after all. As well as practising her sad puppy eyes if I actually make her walk.
Bring on summer – and warm walks in the sunshine.
Nice looking puppy that one..yeah bring on summer again cant wait
Definitely! I'm going away for work for 7 weeks from Monday and it will be getting very close to summer by the time I get back :-)
lol, yeah those puppy eyes ....
We have one girl who sooks at the rain too "bark bark bark" = "my toes are damp, my toes are damp". Funny thing was that as a pup she'd dive into the large water bowls for a splash around. :D

Thank you for the upvote on my story about Coco, Mandy. Anyone who writes about "sad puppy eyes" and upvotes others who write about sad dogs is quite worth following, so, I have added you to my list!
Will
Thanks Will! I was actually thinking about you this morning as we met another Coco while Bailey and I were out on our walk. A 14 yr old Parson Jack Russell who was very much enjoying her slow senior pup ramble around the gardens. Love that you've given Coco and Bella a forever home.
Thanks, Mandy. It's flattering to be remembered.
Our 12 year old dog, Mike, was slow on our morning walk in the park today. The warm weather and humidity makes it hard for him to breathe but he loved all the new scents and I slowed the walk for him. Bella and Coco were at full-leash and in all directions trying to smell everything and them leave pee mail everywhere. I enjoy watching the Havanese girls improve in their confidence and comfort levels every day. It's good to have new friends.
You, too!
Will
Dam coming to the end of summer here 😑 bring on winter...
