Spontaneous days

Wheels has had another spontaneous purchase day.

So now the house has fish as well as hermit crabs and vampire crabs. We already had the tank but we weren't sure what we would do with it. Wheels used to have fish when he was younger and living at his mums so he said it might be nice to have fish again.

I love watching fish and find very relaxing. I can get quite stressed (most of the time really). I get stress relief and Wheels gets to look after them, it's a win win!

We went for a tropical set up based on the fact of set up costs and maintenance needs. As much as I would love a salt water marine full of crustaceans I just have not got the time or experience to manage a tank like that.

Wheels wants to get a small shark once things have settled down and the current fish have survived a period of time to know that the tank is safe. Currently we have black widow tetra as starter fish. If they do well next month we will look at what friends they should have.

It could take a while to decide as there are so many beautiful breeds of fish out there.
