A Cute Little Dust Bunny (aka chinchilla)
On my last post, I explained that chinchillas can't get wet, and so they take dust baths. These dust baths make their fur softer, but the one downside to them is they are extremely messy - there are always pawprints all over the wood floor after Cheech (my chinchilla) takes one! Cheech has black / dark gray fur with a white underbelly, but after his dust baths...
...he turns light gray! (And you can see the trail of dust he left behind him.)
He is so cute!!!! I didn't know that they couldn't get wet
Yeah, their fur is too thick, it can cause fugus growth or even mold! I hope no one who owns a chinchin of their own has them take actual baths :/
Don't worry, I don't have a chinchilla. I just think they are so adorable.
Chinchillas are so soft and adorable! And their fur is even softer after a dust bath :)
