I know it looks like cgi but it isn't. It has something to do with the special low light deep sea camera they used. I had found an article explaining why it looks like that. I am on my phone now and can't check :/

Ya, I felt the same way. I still don't know if I can believe it 100%. The Media has made us all such skeptics! It is awesome tho!
