Hi, friends. I present you a photo for the contest by @juliank #animalphotography. The photos were taken at the exhibition "White and fluffy". The exhibition is very interesting and unusual. We are all accustomed to the exhibitions of dogs and cats. "White and fluffy" is an exhibition of exotic animals: Guinea pigs, ferrets, mink, rabbits, chinchillas, and not fluffy: snakes, spiders, snails, scorpions.

"Белые и пушистые" это выставка экзотических животных: морские свинки, хорьки, норки, кролики, шиншиллы, и не пушистые: змеи, пауки, улитки, скорпионы.

I took part in such exhibitions several times with Guinea pigs. So I can talk about it in detail. My Guinea pigs were breeds coronet and Merino. Their characteristic long coat that needs care. Preparation for the exhibition begins in advance. Animals need to trim the claws (this generally needs to be done regularly), clean ears, males clean the feces canal. The coat should be smooth. If it is too long and thin, it will be negative. So it should be exactly cut.

The expert evaluates the breed qualities of the animal and its appearance, size, fatness. Ears in Guinea pigs should be large, hanging like mugs. Pig called should not be too thick. The animal must exactly stand on their feet, not to overwhelm. If it's a Guinea pig with rosettes, different breeds have standards for the amount and the direction of the outlets.

At the exhibition I was surprised that Guinea pigs like to understand where they are and what are. As soon as they get on the expert table, they immediately become calm and even take a beautiful pose.

Unfortunately, in recent years, such exhibitions have become a rarity for us. It is increasingly difficult for organizers to find suitable premises. Everywhere they ask for a big rent. To pay for it, you need to increase the entrance ticket for visitors or participants ' fee, but then there is a high risk that people will not come and there will be few participants.

К сожалению, в последнее время такие выставки стали редкостью для нас. Организаторам все труднее находить подходящие помещения. Везде просят большую аренду. Для ее оплаты нужно повышать входной билет для посетителей или взнос участников, но тогда высок риск, что люди не придут и участников будет мало.
