Volcano National Park is located in the north, on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The Virunga range is one of the most beautiful sites in all of Africa: it is a succession of seven volcanoes whose highest peak at 4,500 m altitude

The first African park, created in 1925, is famous for its inhabitants, the famous mountain gorillas. It is one of the great curiosities of the contemporary world. The Beringei gorilla is an anthropoid, today rare on our planet. You can walk up to two or three meters and observe the almost human family intimacy of these last families of gorillas. Silverbacks live in the virgin forest of volcanoes, very close to Ruhengeri. These well-kept and preserved specimens are worth a visit, which is unforgettable.
