Alfalfa and Yoda
Quite a few years ago when I was still living with my parents in Canada, we would have a few cats come and go in our backyard. A few of which actually had a litter of kittens. This picture is from a cat we we tended to because of a neighbor a few town houses down owned but didn't care for. So we fed her etc.
We then found out she was pregnant. She would come to our door everyday, and from what I. An remember even twice a day. Then she hadn't showed up for some time, perhaps a few days. We found her at the side of the building and she was birthing her litter. The poor thing g was very weak.
She ended up having three little ones, one of which didn't make it. We soon realized there was still one more needing to come out. We knew it can take some time between each but by morning the fourth one still hadn't come. So we took her and the 2 that survived to the emergency animal hospital. We found out the mom cat was so sick that there was little chance she would make it through surgery. It would cost so much to do and she was suffering. :( That's when my mom decided to just let her go. It was a very sad moment.
This picture is one of the two babies that were born. We nicknamed him Alfalfa only because of the bit of fur on top it's head. Lol. They were very cute and I got stranded to them very quickly. But I know we couldn't keep them and they needed to be careful for. We were late told they had gotten adopted, and that made me happy.
I'd like introduce you all to Alfalfa!
I want to share a photo of his brother as well even though the first one is the photo I'm entering.
This is Yoda!
In these pictures they're only a few hours old.
These were taken with a Canon EOS Rebel xsi in 2012.

Cats purr at the same frequency as an idling diesel engine, about 26 cycles per second.
The Ancient Egyptian word for cat was mau, which means "to see".
