Orangutans are a large ape with long arms and reddish or brown fur which can only be found in Sumatran and Kalimantan plaques, orangutans include 2 subspecies of Sumatran orangutans (Pongo abelii) and borneo orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus). The forests have a physical trait that has a height of 1.25- 1.5 meters, They have a big fat body, big necked, long and strong arms, short and bent legs, and have no tail

1.Orangutan can use the stick as a tool to take food, and use the leaves as a sun shield. The 6-year-old Sumatran orangutan living in the western swamp of the Alas Sumatera River uses a stick to detect honey but the behavior is never found among orangutans in the eastern coastal region. This shows the diversity of behavior in environmental adaptation.
2.The largest male males have arm bands (length from one end of the hand to the other end when both arms are stretched) to 2.3 m
3.orangutan males can make long-distance calls that can be heard within a 1 km radius. Used to mark / supervise the area, calling the female, preventing other malicious male orangutans. They have a large throat bag that makes them able to do it.
4.Orangutan Sumatra in Bukit Lawang Compared with the Bornean Orangutans, the Sumatran orangutans prefer fodder and especially the insects. The favored fruits include beringin and jackfruit. They also eat birds' eggs and vertebrae

Species Pongo abelii alias Sumatran orangutan is endemic fauna of Sumatera, which can only be found in Sumatera Island. Some of the major habitat areas are in northern Sumatra (Aceh and North Sumatra), such as Gunung Leuser National Park and Bukit Lawang Wildlife Sanctuary.
Female orangutans usually give birth at the age of 7-10 years old with a content ranging from 8.5 to 9 months; Almost the same as humans. The number of babies born to a female is usually only one.
10.Orangutan is an arboreal animal, meaning he lives or moves on a tree.
- Unlike gorillas and chimpanzees, orangutans do not live in large flocks. They are semi-solitary animals. Male orangutans are usually found alone and female orangutans are usually accompanied by several children.
