A Woolly Bear caterpillar in Vermont.... Scientific name: Pyrrharctia isabella

For your viewing pleasure. This picture was taken in Vermont today March 1st 2018 approx. 50 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny. The snow cover is starting to melt away and it has broke dormancy.. When spring arrives they form a cocoon and later become the Isabella Tiger Moth.
