Malaria is a disease caused by a plasmodium parasite infection, which includes infectious diseases. Malaria is transmitted through the bite of the malaria mosquito Anopheles. Mosquitoes that transmit malaria are found in temperate areas, especially in Indonesia, India, and the African continent. Anopheles mosquito transmit plasmodium parasite that attacks platelets or red blood cells. So far there are 170 species of plasmodium but which include parasites that cause malaria (plasmodium parasite) there are four types that are all capable of infecting manuasia.

The four plasmodium are. Plasmodium (P) malariae, P. falciparum, P. vivax, and P. ovale. The most dangerous among the four plasmodium is Plasmodium falciparum can be life threatening.
