What's the death note?

Light Yagami is a 17-year-old high school student, a brilliant young man, son of a policeman. He discovers a strange notebook that turns out to be the book of a god of death: Ryuk! Light will quickly learn what terrible powers this booklet contains: all those whose names are written in the Death Note are called to die within 40 seconds!

The implications are enormous and in possession of such a notebook Light is potentially able to impose its law on a world that it considers perverted. But can we choose who will live and who will die? Do some people deserve to die by the sole will of a teenager, both judge and executioner for an irrevocable sentence?
