It's ironic that it's illegal to raise prices, limiting access to scarce resources, thereby preserving the resource longer. It's not illegal to run out of everything, and shut up shop 10 minutes into an emergency.
Well, see? People are running out of stuff! Probably those damn price gouging hoarders, somehow, make them illegal and also confiscate all their property because we need more money.
