I implore you not to dump your money, time, and resources into the cesspool that is the "Libertarian Party."
Why? Well, let's look at "Joe:"
Hello, my name is Joe. I have an idea! I am going to put an end to organized crime by joining the mafia. I am going to tell them from the outset that my goal in joining is to put an end to them. They will let me in. Why? Because of your massive support and donations.
Once they let me in to "the family" I will then immediately disband the family, and put an end to the mafia, by first eliminating the largest crime syndicates, leaving only the smaller, less violent local crime networks. From there, we will let the smaller local crime networks disband themselves. Brilliant!
As for the stolen property and loot, it will all be returned to the rightful owners. The way this can be done is to allow a group of my close friends and I to decide who is the rightful owner of what, and send the property back. Those who have disagreements will have to meet with my circle of bosses to air their disagreements. I know this sounds a lot like another mob deciding things top-down, but listen. We have to be pragmatic and not get all purist notions of self-ownership and and property. Do you honestly think individuals in their local communities could figure this shit out themselves!? My mob is not like the bad mob because my mob is going to end the bad mob by joining the bad mob!
That is how I will end the mafia.
So yeah, voluntaryists are already decentralizing everything as best they can non-violently. Based on principle. I implore you to use your time, energy, money and other resources for that!
Or, you know what. Nevermind. Just dump your money back into the same absurd and woefully violent system you are trying to escape. Who knows, maybe the mafia will choose voluntarily to destroy itself. Makes sense. At the very least, maybe they will take you seriously ↓
Anyway, Joe's a good guy. So what if he has to use a little "persuasion" to end the mafia? All in a day's pragmatic work, right?

the problem with libertarians or anarchists trying to get any traction is that no two can seem to agree about what that means or how to go about it. On the other hand the military industrial complex knows exactly what it wants and how to go about getting it.

Yes - if a group of Anarchists were to Pledge Life, Honor and Fortune to each other, to act as inseparable and equal Brothers and Sisters, to Love and Respect each other like they do their own children, then Anarchists would be a force to be reckoned with. Of course, this family could then be called a Nation, and the Ouroboros continues.

So what are your plans for ending the state? Do you have one besides organizing locally and hoping for the best?
I don't necessarily support Kokesh, but I think his heart's in the right place and that tearing things down from the inside is as good a plan as any. My own personal opinion is that the state won't end in any meaningful way during my lifetime unless some major calamity is involved, but maybe I'm just nihilist, and at any rate, even if so, organizing locally can at least reduce peoples' dependency a little.
The idea that this is all about “who has the best idea” is similar to the response Adam gave me when I broached this issue on his livestream last year. He told me to “step up to the plate” if I have a better idea, completely missing my point, namely:
The system is violence. The gatekeepers of a crime syndicate do not allow destroyers of said syndicate to be “elected.”
Adam’s plan for redistribution of property, as far as I can understand it (he’s been pretty vague) violates voluntaryist/libertarian property axioms and principles.
Thus, it’s not about saying “I have the best idea, shut up!” That’s typical statist bullshit. It’s about whether or not one wishes to respect individual self-ownership and by extension, property, as the highest law.
If Adam’s plan doesn’t, then it is not a Voluntaryist plan, and this I encourage all Voluntaryists to abandon the money grabbing hype for a violent machine we all stand against.
I’m all about local change. That’s why I stand against this mega-hyped, mega-centralized, sensationalized stuff!
This isn't a totally fair statement. So many people are hostile, frivalous, and petty - they rage over little things. These type of people attract "Government" to them. When people accept self-responsibility in full, and pledge integrity and honor to all people as brothers one another, then Governments will disappear.
I admire your adherence to principle, but I think you're allowing that to assume bad faith here where it's not really warranted. I can see you're quite worked up over this, so I'll leave it at that.
