RE: The Trouble with Anarchy

in #anarchy7 years ago

me thinks you have it ALL wrong about anarchists and anarchy.
typically anarachy is defined not as 'no rules' but as 'no rulers'...in other words all men are judged to be equal under the law..

well that didn't work out did it.

anarchy is inevitable when all me ARE equal.
in the sense that 'god made man, but Samuel colt made them equal'

Having spoken to many anarchists, the idea seems to be that we must take down the system in order to create a new way of life. It's that idea, specifically, that I would refute.

I agree with the anarchist ideal of "no rulers", I just don't think that destroying what we have created will get us there. It's certainly no guarantee.

Having been accused of BEING an anarchist since the seventies....my opinion is similar.
Like BitCoin grows from the death of fiat...so too will anarchy grow from the collapse of rat utopia..

Indeed. We are of like mind. I too am often called "anarchist". What I believe, though, is that a brighter future is already being born.

oh YEAH.
These ARE the good old days.
On average we live better, longer, healthier lives than any people in history and it's getting better and better as we speak.

Most people don't realize that because of the mass media. if it bleeds...it ledes and if it doesn't bleed then they'll lie about it or WORSE....they'll flat out lie. They'll make stuff up and fabricate falsehoods out of whole cloth.
