Prospering In An Economic Crisis
A Resource Based Economy
In this chapter I will outline my plan to prosper in the coming economic depression and the coming food crisis that is heading our way. I am not and would not tell you what you should do, your choice is your prerogative and responsibility. I am just offering for consideration my evolving plan that I believe is my best option.
The two areas that I think are going to be most challenging are finance and food production. If we continue into a global cooling period as presented by John Casey, it will likely last 30 years or more. We will adapt but this period could take years. It would likely start with a few years of poor harvest and elevated food prices during economic turmoil and then continue to a food supply breakdown as farming evolution lags behind food demand.
The best strategy is to actually live in a self sustainable way that can deal with the coming problems so that when crisis occurs there is nothing to adapt to. The problem with doing this is motivating the people around you to actually live in this way before it is necessary. Everyone assumes that the world is getting warmer, the supermarkets will always be stocked with food and the banks will hold our savings.
Finance is the first step. As outlined in the first two chapters, there is about to be a huge transfer of wealth to those people who understand that the fractional reserve banking system is ending from those who have no idea. Mainly form the public to the elite. Those who know what is happening are invested in Gold, Silver, Bitcoin and other Cryptos. As seen after the hyper inflation of the Weimar Republic a decent investment in gold could buy a whole city block. 1 gold Deutsch Mark was worth 1 trillion paper Deutsch Marks. I expect history to repeat itself.
For those humans who see the financial opportunities of the coming crisis and think they will be buying Lamborghini’s and safely driving down the high street I am afraid you need to reconsider this dream. Even if you do buy that vehicle you could soon be driving around starving while swerving around hungry mobs that only want to linch you in a car with terrible handling.
The best way to survive this coming crisis is through community and a service to others attitude. Unless you have a self sufficient bunker and are one of the elite in total service to self.
I have recently moved out of the city and into deep farming country with a couple of friends. We have bought a five acre smallholding with a river, woodland and an orchard. We are busy at the moment sorting out the basics such as the drains, road, our living space and livestock. I am trying to spend as little as possible before the coming financial reset.
Our pigs, one male and two females.
We have a mortgage and when the financial reset comes I intend to pay off the mortgage when interest rates become too high or a margin is called. At this moment I have a basic level of preparation, equipment and supplies, water filters, 3 months of freeze dried food, alfalfa, canned food, a compound bow and am basically out of the financial system. But with Gods will I plan to do much more.
I have friends in the city and due to the ‘conspiracy theory’ label of what I know it has been very difficult to get through to them and in fact few of them will listen to a word I say about this coming crisis, even though I warned them before the credit crisis of 2008. I am doing all the planning on my own and even the friends that I moved here with will not accept what I have learnt or even hear me out. We have moved here to be semi self sufficient which is half the battle anyway, they are wonderfully talented people and amazing friends.
The cities will be the worst place to find oneself in a food shortage, my friends still in the city are in huge dept due to the massive mortgages that they have taken on to live there. My intention is to offer an open invitation for them to move to our area if they desire to leave the city. There is nobody I would like better by my side than the friends I trust and know.
We don’t have enough room here for them all. We need more space. The plan I have is to wait until after the crash to purchase another local property. There is an empty farm down the road that I have my eyes on with the idea of renovating and setting up multiple bed-sets/suites to accommodate individual groups in the farm complex. Another option is to set up a business to rent out holiday cabins and offer friends the option to just live there. One of our neighbours has already done this and mite be willing to rent out some accommodation.
Of course all of this is dependent on the financial reset ratios and how the revaluation of assets plays out. I expect assets that today require credit to purchase such as property and vehicles to deflate in value considerably while assets that are essential and finite and don’t require credit to purchase to inflate in value. So we will see what scale of operation will be possible to launch as events unfold.
Somehow we will have to manage the resources we have to accommodate everyone, and here is the start of our resource based economy. I am not aware of the financial situations of our scattered neighbours but I am happy to say that they are a collection of very grounded and creative people and there is already a strong sense of community here. My friends and the local neighbours have a wealth of skills and resources.
I have spent many years studying alternative building and spent my 20s flipping houses in London with friends. I believe straw bale building will be the best solution going forward due to its simplicity and thermal properties, cladding buildings with straw bale walls would save a lot of energy. We will have to make use of the farm buildings to build up a stock of building materials like lime, sand and roofing. We are already setting up a comprehensive workshop and wood yard but I would like a store of common building supplies, electrics, plumbing, glazing, screws, nails, etc.
I don’t expect this to happen all at once but I do expect it to snowball and at some point I will hopefully be able to bring everyone up to speed so that we can be as efficient as possible dealing with the challenges we face and managing the resources we have.
This is partly why I am documenting this plan so that all can see that I am not just reacting to events as they unfold but understand in advance what we are dealing with. It is important to prepare for further cooling sun cycles if confirmation of the trend is observed. I don’t have all the answers and the more people involved the better.
Transition
There is an opportunity at the point of the financial collapse to take back control of our lives. There is talk of a takedown of the cabal, mass arrests, and an unseen alliance that is assisting this. These claims are unsubstantiated, as much as I would love this to be true it is very risky to put faith in a rescue and not take action. Even if humanity takes down the cabal we are still facing a potential food crisis due to a global dependency on the Monsanto seed empire and a further reduction in sunspot activity.
The idea of revolution is appealing but very dangerous due to the control the cabal has on society. As we have seen recently in Catalonia, clashes with police would be inevitable and civilians would be divided in opinion. Stockholm syndrome is common place in society with civilians, especially academics, standing up for all government control totally unaware that they are already slaves to the system. Social mind control deserves a whole chapter to its self.
To avoid civil war and excuse for further enslaving legislation I believe a dissociating approach is better. Why not dissociate ourselves from government control in the sense of non reliance. A regulatory offence is much easier to deal with than a felony during revolt. It is much easier to legally and morally defend a way of life that is enriching a community than clashing with the powers that be head on. Kind of like the difference between being evicted rather than convicted.
This topic also deserves a whole chapter but the opportunity for actually making this work is certainly there in a financial collapse where the globalists system has failed to provide. By offering an alternative solution to a local community at a time of government failure, a dissociated sub culture could prevail and snowball.
There will most likely be a window of maximum opportunity when certain products and services are still available and open society is still functioning in a normal and moral way. I am quite aware that this window may be short and easily missed or drawn out over years. I know that my strategy is risky and events could move fast leaving me with assets that can not be eaten. But this is all or nothing and the way I wish to proceed. There is little point in stocking my own larder and trying to do this on my own while the community around me falls apart, this is a long term plan that includes anyone that wishes to take part.
The strategy for converting inflating assets into resources will have to be carefully adjusted as events transpire. Off-grid energy and water will be high on the list along with extra insulation and a renewable food supply.
I hope that all these plans will be overkill and society where we are will be functioning in some way right the way through this challenging period for humanity. But it is likely that many places will fall apart morally as well as structurally around the world. At the very least there could be millions of hungry city people with less than honourable intentions leaving the cities looking to take advantage of others. Security will have to be addressed and multiple stock rooms safely filled with attention to detail.
I am not an advocate of violence but security could be a serious issue. The service to others evolutional path is a balance of love and wisdom. If you have wisdom and no love you are evil and take advantage of others. If you have love with no wisdom then you are someones fool on a planet of duality.
I believe in the law of attraction although the metaphysics has often been manipulated in presentation. Within a community we have to accept that others will be at different stages of understanding metaphysics and often just running on default. Communities, countries and humanity in general are forging a future from collective intention and action. We all live with the collective karma of those around us and in a community we have to deal with collective dramas as they unfold.
I am not a devotee of any one religion but this lesson comes to mind. One day Prophet Muhammad noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it and he asked the Bedouin, “Why don’t you tie down your camel?” The bedouin answered “I put my trust in Allah.” The Prophet then said, “Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah” I am sorry if I offend anyone by using this lesson in this context but I believe we should cover all bases first and then go ahead with the best intentions as doers of good and faith in our motives.
I would like to believe that if the situation in my country does get worse and worse, more and more homes will join us and the more efficient and stronger we will become with more knowledge and resources at our disposal.
At the moment, when I am not working on the farm and writing this content I am researching prepping and food production methods in cold off grid situations. I am compiling lists of where to buy the most suitable equipment and products. A book wish list is growing for our library incase the Internet goes down or is extremely censored. This period, the calm before the storm, is a preparation period that is academic. I intend to be ready for when the window comes to convert my funds into resources.
Renewable Food Solution
LED Aquaponics is a farming technique that uses water in a closed system to carry ammonia created by fish to feed plants. It is very efficient once set up and only requires the fish to be fed and the system maintained. The LED part of the system I am designing reduces efficiency compared to straight forward polytunnels and sunlight but I am going down this path so we can have indoor grow rooms.
Straw bale walls and turf roofs would deal with the worst cold weather. It is possible that due to poor weather conditions sunlight could be greatly reduced or inconsistent. A wind and solar off-grid renewable energy system will be used to power the LED lights and pumps, there are options here but wind would most likely meet demand in bad weather conditions.
The aim of this Aquaponics venture is to supply enough food for the community during the adaption period with community contribution. A work and take home set up. After things settle down and the country has adapted to the situation the skills learned and the infrastructure and build technics could spread through duplication allowing each local home or hamlet to have their own food source.
The method is to design and perfect a modular system that can be multiplied to accommodate demand. A modular system also avoids contamination spreading over the whole project. This method initially allows focused attention on the first running module with minimal expenditure and waste. Extra growing area is needed for a self sufficient operation where part of each crop will have to be designated for seed production to plant the next crop. Work on the first module will start in the new year.
The whole system will be fed mainly by insects, probably worms, crickets and pond weed. While I was traveling in Asia I came across a lot of communities that relied on insects as a renewable source of protein. Children would bring bags of insects to school for the staff to cook for their collective lunch. I don’t expect my friends to adapt to cricket burgers but they would make perfect fish food.
The main point that I intend to convey in this chapter is that we need to be educating ourselves right now and have a plan ready incase food becomes difficult to acquire. Also having a few months of supplies is an absolute must to give time to focus and put plans into action rather than struggling to find food or waiting in line for hand outs.
We need to move from the concept of status in society to a status of preparedness. We need to move our mindset from how to make our personal lives better to how to make our communities better. Anybody who has read this article to this point must understand that we who know have to prepare not only for ourselves but for those in our communities who are not yet ready to accept the nature of the reality we live in.
This is a time to be mentally bold and actually consider alternatives to current lifestyles. It is scary to consider leaving the security of a 9-5 life, but that is the invisible cage that keeps us in slavery. Time is ticking and the inevitable end of the current monitory system is overdue. What are priorities and what are social illusions? What is more important, a newer car to be seen in and high position in a company that could go bankrupt or a back up fund and a real plan ready to execute if confirmation is observed that action needs to be taken.
