The Cycle of Slavery in Four Simple Steps
First, people fight for freedom. Next, they sell it off little by little. Then, they curse it. Finally, they humbly return to it.
Freedom remains steadfast with open arms - void of discrimination. It's value is immeasurable. Its standard is peace.
I agree mostly with your post though I would not say the standard of freedom is peace, as the very nature of life is survival and adaptation. Freedom can be peacefully enjoyed but often must be defended when others believe that a certain freedom is the wrong way of living.
Thanks for your response. I chose peace because of its opposition to violence. I look at slavery as holding a standard of violence.
