A Losing Weekend

Keep in mind, just because I say it was a losing weekend doesn't mean I am upset about all of them. Let me give you a break down of some of this weekends losses.

The Detroit Lions

I don't think they have anyone to blame but themselves on this one. Unlike last weekend I don't think the officials can be blamed here. The game wasn't without its bright spots and the high score shows that both The Vikings and The Lions need to do some work on defense.

For Detroit, I think the loss of Johnson at running back certainly didn't help them, to be fair though, Minnesota lost their tight end as well which didn't seem to be as big of a setback for them.

The Michigan Wolverines

I have to be honest with you, this game didn't quite go the way I had expected. I was totally expecting Penn State to blow the Wolverines out of the water. Since I am a Michigan State fan, I am a bit sad that didn't happen. I was really hoping to see a Michigan team get totally dismantled and man handled much the way Wisconsin did earlier this season.

That wasn't the case though, and I have to give much credit to them for hanging in there and only losing the contest by one touchdown.

Wisconsin Badgers

This might have been the biggest shocker of the whole weekend across the college football landscape. At 3 - 4 on the season, there is really no reason that Illinois should have had a chance against Wisconsin. I guess that just goes to show you what home field advantage can do for you.

I actually didn't bother watching this game because I thought it was going to be a blowout. Who knew it would end up being so exciting. I think this bodes well for Wisconsin going in to next weekend against Ohio State. They are going to be hungry for some retribution and I'd love to see them trounce all over The Buckeyes.

Fantasy Football

Finally, there is the matter of my fantasy football team. I will have a full write up on this weekends events tomorrow or Wednesday, but as of right now, it is pretty much guaranteed that I am going to be looking at a loss again this week.

I'd really love to finish the season with more than one win, but right now things are looking pretty bleak. It might be time to clean house and start from scratch with my team.

Until next time!

i miss college football. We can pay a premium to get the NFL games over here but the college packages you can kind of forget about it. They have those dodgy as hell boxes that have strange streams where you have to close 1000 windows that are gonna download viruses if you click in slightly the wrong place and well, i don't wanna see the games that badly.

That is too bad. Are you able to have VPN's over there? Would that allow you to sign up for something as if you were from a different country? Probably not because they would still get you on the billing side. What about torrents? If there was a specific game you wanted to watch, you might be able to go that route. Not legal, but...

yeah, torrents is what i use for every Nebraska game, the other teams i follow are likely difficult to see on TV even in the USA.
