This Is #AmeriKKKa!!
To show how the Amerikkkan court works we have the following two stories.
The man is called Lyle Burgess, he is 79 years old and has been sentenced to just 90 days house arrest for raping a 5 year old girl. He doesn't have to go to jail or register as a sex offender as he was convicted as statutory rape (which is sexual contact with an individual who is below the age of consent).
The little girl he raped was the daughter of a family friend, he invited the family over to stay at his Calaveras County Cabin back in 2016.
But how did he get away with it? The family attorney believes that because Lyle is the founder of Rare Parts Inc, a company that sells rare vehicle parts, he used his wealth and influence to influence his lenient sentence.
The family attorney said that they trusted this man, he was a family friend but he took advantage of this situation. The lawyer said that the victim, now 7 is struggling, she's showing all the symptoms of somebody who has been molested, she's in counseling and will be for the rest of her life.
According to California Law, sex with a child 10 or younger is a crime that can be punished with imprisonment in the state for 25 years to life. And Lyle's case is the worse as the defendant is over 21 and the minor under 16.
This is just a clear example of how wealthy people escape the penalty for what they did. The victim and her family have filed a civil suit against Burgess.
The next story is of Dayonn Davis, and if Lyle got 90 days house arrest whatever Dayonn did it should be a minor sentence right?
Well not this time, Dayonn Davis an 18 year old Columbus teen has been sentenced to 5 years in prison, plus another 10 on probation for stealing a park of Nike sneakers when he was 15. He contacted the owner of the shoes on Facebook, he met him with his friend and when he knew they fit him, his friend pulled a gun out and they left, this is according to prosecutor Sadhana Dailey. Columbus police tracked down Dayonn, 15 at the time back in Jan,2016 and they found the shoes in the closet.
Dayonn's attorney tried to plead on Davis' behalf stating how the teen wanted to put the matter bejind him and move on, she added that "he's been extremely remorseful and he's got his life on track". She also added that he was charged as an adult in the crime but also had no previous juvenile record, and he'd been an A or B student in Kendrick High School before his grades dropped after the arrest.
So after these two sentences I hope you understand the injustice that their is depending on your wealth and the law isn't the same for all of us. The rich are the most powerful.
This is a clear example of how you get away with raping a young girl, you don't go to jail and ruin her life because she will be in counselling all her life, and on the other hand how a kid that when he was 15 years old stole a pair of shoes is going to serve 5 years in prison plus 10 on probation, so his future has been destroyed.
