Avoiding Fake Supplements On Amazon

in #amazon4 years ago

Why is Amazon the king of supplements? Amazon’s business model is based on owning as little inventory and real estate as possible and instead leveraging partnerships with third-party vendors to create a massive marketplace that operates with speed and efficiency on razor-thin margins. Unfortunately sometimes this translates to third-party sellers who exploit the system to make a buck. While Amazon sells 77% of supplements sold online, 82% of bodybuilding supplements, 69% of CBD products, and half of herbal supplements and vitamins are mislabeled, sometimes dangerously so.

In order to protect yourself from unsafe supplements, it’s important to pay attention to who you are buying them from. Just because you are buying them ON Amazon doesn’t mean you are buying them FROM Amazon. Vet your sellers and look for real reviews and third-party scientific analysis of whatever supplements you are buying.
