The Emergence Of Blood Moon in 21st Century
So what is a 'blood moon" in the first place and how this can affect our daily life, "It's called a blood moon because the light from the sun goes through the earth's atmosphere on its way to the moon, and the earth's atmosphere turns it red in the same way that when the sun goes down it goes red," Andrew Fabian, professor of astronomy at the University of Cambridge, told Reuters.
At the same time, Mars will be traveling closer to earth than it has been since 2003, so some observers may be able to see what looks like an orange-red star - and is in fact the red planet.
"It is a very unusual coincidence to have a total lunar eclipse and Mars at opposition on the same night," said Robert Massey, deputy executive director of the Royal Astronomical Society, who will try to watch the eclipse from the Mediterranean Sea.
For thousands of years, man has looked to the heavens for omens of doom, victory and joy.
Astronomers, though, said there was no cause for worry.
The total eclipse will last 1 hour, 42 minutes and 57 seconds, though a partial eclipse precedes and follows, meaning the moon will spend a total of 3 hours and 54 minutes in the earth's umbral shadow, according to NASA.
Across the world, from the Taj Mahal to the Eiffel Tower, people will turn their eyes to the sky, hoping to see the blood moon, which appears orange, brown or crimson as sunlight is bent through the earth's atmosphere.
The fullest eclipse, at 2022 GMT (4:22 a.m. Saturday in the Philippines), will be visible from Europe, Russia, Africa, the Middle East, much of Asia and Australia.
Hundreds of people in Australia have already paid to watch the eclipse from the Sydney Observatory before sunrise.
Well i still remember when i was a kid i thought that if you look above in the sky at night and glance on the white shining big ball which is called the moon, you will see an alien or something passing by as in the case of E.T. with a friend on the bike or even a witch on a broom passing by.
So many ideas and imagination running through your mind upon glancing on the moon. Nowadays in the generation of the millennial, they don't mind to notice something weird happening in the environment and mostly in our atmosphere, this may be due to technology wherein young people nowadays are hooked on gadgets on their smart phones, IO's and computer alike.
The point here is that whenever this kind of phenomenon happen on our life, we have to savor it and glance for one in a life that you can experience this extraordinary event and in some point in time that it can broaden your scope of imagination and how you will deal with this kind of occurrence when it happen. It may even save our life or our family if we see it in a positive way and research about this to prepare in advance. Well this was done for a reason that only man God knows the plan. always keep safe to you all.
