What’s their deal?
Well, I’m glad you asked. They’re actually BERRIES.
Yep! Scientifically speaking, bananas belong in the berry family.

They’re (very slightly) radioactive.
This is because they contain potassium, and potassium decays over time.
But don’t worry. You’d have to eat a lot of bananas for your body to suffer from radioactive damage. Like 10 million of them.

Again, scientifically speaking, a berry is a simple fruit that comes from a single flower with a single ovary. All three of these “berries” are actually something called an “aggregate fruit,” which means they’re derived from a flower with multiple ovaries.
