What Is Australia’s Scariest Animal?

You would think that a shark would have to be a pretty scary animal no matter what part of the world you live in, but not so scary for Australians.
For instance, we have had so many shark attacks in Western Australia alone over the last 10 years and still people like me will happily run full pelt into the surf and start catching waves.

You'd be mistaken if you thought common sense would kick in but the truth is, as long as you leave a buffer zone of about 5-10 people there is hardly any chance a 6 metre great white will aim for you, you'll be right trust me.
Still the sharks don't come close to being Australia's scariest animal, and the crocodiles don’t even get a mention.
The snakes and pythons are definitely some of the scariest and absolutely get mention because most Aussies literally have them living in our backyards and not exactly as pets either because they can and will kill you or your pets quite happily if given the chance.
Check out this python having a full grown wallaby for lunch casually out in the middle of a golf course and that’s not even close to being a fully grown scrub python.

And this is the deadly Stone Fish that I snapped a photo of off the north coast of Western Australia, if you step on this fish, you will have a very slow and painful death if you don't get to an emergency room within 10-20 minutes, maybe less.
It is quite literally one of the most venomous fish in the world.

But that is not even the worst or most deadly let alone the scariest animal Australia has to offer...
Oh no, there is one above all else that is so fierce and blood thirsty the only way to lower your chance of being attacked is to have a large jar of Vegemite and bowl of water out side the tent and make regular COOOO WEEEE calls through out the night if you go camping.
Drop Bears are startled by the call and the Vegemite mixes up their sense of smell.
Any Aussie that knows his stuff will tell you the same because the infamous Drop Bear is not to be played with.
Just take a look at the latest warning from the Australian Government.
