THIS WAS REALLY COOL TO HEAR!
Those @little-peppers sure are impressive sometimes!
Periodically, the @little-peppers do some various 4H projects and attend some events. Today was the deadline to enter one of these events, which happened to be a photo contest. Pinkie-Pepper (Age 8) already has tons of photography practice from helping me, and Red-Pepper (Age 6) has been getting the hang of things lately.
Since each child could enter up to three photos, and since today was the deadline that we were not exactly prepared for, we spent some time racing around taking photos this morning. The girls did really well!
HARD WORK PAID OFF
Trust me, photography is not what it used to be. With film pretty much going out the door and the dawn of the digital age, people (even children) don't really have to worry about wasting film. This allows us to take many, many photos and then just choose the best.
The contest theme was "The Great Outdoors," so much like in my combination photography contest, plants and animals were in! The @little-peppers enjoyed taking some photos of a variety of creatures including moths, frogs, turtles, and even a scorpion. Over the next week the @little-peppers will be releasing their photos from that account, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek and share a little something special with you.
While printing the photos, the man who was working in the photo department was really impressed with the photos and asked who took them. When he heard that our little girls did, he was blown away. An amateur photographer himself, he encouraged the @little-peppers to keep at it, as he rarely sees such spectacular wild animal photographs. He also commented and said he wouldn't be surprised to see their work featured in a magazine or newspaper one day.
This was really cool to hear about and was some added encouragement in the job that we are doing. When raising our children, we certainly want to pass on a wide variety of life skills, but a real appreciation of the world around us and a job well done is also worthy of being passed on. We will see how the @little-peppers do in the contest! Also, don't forget to follow their account to see their work. We'll be releasing the first photo tonight!
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

I would be TOTALLY SURPRISED to see their work in a newspaper or a magazine.
By the time they are teenagers, i am pretty sure none of them thingies will still exist. So, they will have to be in whatever media exists in a decade.
They could probably start showing up in pinterest today if they tried.
LOL - Very valid point. You can probably see them on steemit though, LOL!
What is this.... <_<
>_>
... steemit thing you are referring to?
Is it like an on-line magazine? Maybe about reading tea leaves?
I am sure that it couldn't be about finding scorpions in the middle of the night! :-p
LOL!
Wow! Nurturing true talent, and doing one awesome job of being a dad :)
It is great when a dad is proud of his kids! God bless the peppers! 🌶
Thanks man! You know it!
They are very beautiful !!! You got some good looking kids @papa-pepper!!!
@papa-pepper you know I am a Fan and the @little-peppers will always have the Life Skills that their parents are instilling in them right now. Now to go over to their account and show some positive love.............
Thanks man! Working on releasing their first photo now!

LOL - Thanks @janton! That reminds me, I've still got to resteem your post!
It's amazing, I'm amazed and very salute with the work of children aged 6 years, and I agree with you this is not the digital era to spend extra for film rolls like the old days.
Talented kids 😊 no wonder you are proud 😄
I hope they win!
What is a 4H project?
