RE: Huobi AMA is NOW!

in #ama6 years ago

Ok, I'll take a nibble if you don't mind.

  1. How was your experience overall getting STEEM listed? Would you say the implementation was difficult or easy? If you could briefly comment on how it compares to other projects Huobi works with, that would be of great insight.

  2. Assuming you are running a full node (it would make most sense imo), What are your thoughts on the scalability of the STEEM blockchain? And what in your opinion would be ideal targets for hardware requirements to run nodes.

  3. Everyone keeps on talking about DEX, the idea being that the in the future most (not all of course) exchanges would allow users to keep their own funds at all times. With Binance throwing their hat on the ring, so to speak, are you guys planning on following that direction as well? If you can't comment on that precisely (it's very possible) What are your thoughts on the very idea of DEX.

Thanks in advance.

Great questions, @meno! Let us take a stab at it:

  1. Getting STEEM listed was as smooth as it can be, given the team’s overall transparency and great utility from the Steemit platform. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on how it was as compared to other projects, but just know that the Steemit team has a great thing going!
  2. Think we will defer the question to STEEM’s team about the scalability and hardware requirements :)
  3. No plans for launching a DEX at the moment. While we strongly believe in blockchain and cryptocurrencies paving the path for a new future of finance, we also work with local regulators to provide security and reliability for the users that trade on our platform.

Great questions meno. I want to see the response.
