One Post. Seven Days of Writing and/or Streaming Straight. Inquiry.

in #alx7 years ago

Is there any good reason why a steemean can't take just ONE POST a week, and operate it such that it's LIVE for the entire time that it can be edited/addressed?

It just occurred to me, that with the system of nesting here, which enables huge degrees of specificity in the breakdown of ideas, thoughts, chapters, etc., and the seven day open interaction period, there's a pretty cool opportunity for creating entire pieces of more complicated media/literature/etc., right Here. Well, in theory, in the comments under this post. More likely however, in the comments under some other post, where I begin with a far shorter than usual video by my standards, and Spark a Wonderful Discussion.

If the ultimate logical conclusion of all "this" [what we call modern technology and opportunity ATM], is actually to prove Our Species fucking SUCKS, OR to lead us not TO, but incredibly closer TO, "UTOPIA",

then what i always wonder is: "What's YOUR YOUtopia™"? ™ is just my favorite emoticon, and i'm actually hugely open source, but who knows,

Steemit isn't yet a completely inviolable blockchain of record, and if i'm streaming, SHIT, in theory, i could choose to finish a MasterPiece here, and someone else, watching it being written live [before i press POST], could just steal the idea, bang it out on her keyboard almost instantly, and "TAKE THE CREDIT!"

Bizarre scenario true, and it's really just all i had the moment after i entertained the thought, of potentially putting characters directly into the block chain. If i get to the end of my Jerry McGuire, and the post Fails, i'm like, screwed, no? This typing, it means nothing, until it's successfully posted.

Might someone answer, how long is it until a post is likely "IN" the chain forever? It's not instant, is it?
