CEO Binance predicts a new altcoin season for a limited number of projects

CEO of Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange Zhao joined the theorists discussing whether market participants should expect a new season of altcoins. In a conversation with CNBC anchorman Ran Neuner, he said he was "quite sure" that this would happen sooner or later.

Zhao believes that the upcoming rally will be much more stable than in 2017. According to him, only those projects that managed to develop really worthwhile products could survive the fall of ICO-tokens. Therefore, he predicts that this time the growth will be selective.

"The industry does not stand still, and we can see real projects with real blockchains coming out," Zhao added.

Earlier, a similar idea was put forward by the investment director of blockchain asset management firm Arca, Jeff Dorman, who said that the earlier people gave up the idea of an all-encompassing Altcoin season, the sooner some of them would start growing.

Trading veteran Peter Brandt, meanwhile, claims that market participants should not expect another rise in alternative cryptocurrencies and instead focus on Bitcoin.
