when you have to choose the post rewards, always choose the 50%/50% options if the SBD (Steem dollar) is above 1 USD (always the case at the moment).
The system still use the classical rule in its calculation : 1 SBD = 1 USD.
Therefore you'll have more SBD to buy more STEEM and to transform into more STEEM POWER.

It’s about time isn’t it!? Might be moving towards a nice bull run! At least we’re due for one. This’ll be interesting to watch over the next few days. Good to see Steem moving up the list for market capitalization too. I checked earlier and it was at #25 which could be in part because of the Weiss Ratings but either way... not complaining. 😊👍🏻
I was kind of hoping the market would stay down for a while so I could buy more cryptos next payday. But its still great to see that sea of green

Ye I'm excited for this growth and can't wait for what 2018 brings to us. Are there any coins in particular you have high hopes for or is heavy on. Personally I'm HODLING Litecoin, Vertcoin, Ripple
I'm big on several and loaded up on a few while we were on that long dip. Some that I would say I'm especially hopeful for are NEO, Steem, Ripple, Voise, and Verge... just to name a few.

Weiss Ratings clearly influenced Steem to move up and although I like the fact Steem is climbing, it worries me to see an out of nowhere report having such an effect... I wonder what would happen if they scored another coin with B or A.
It's so easy for someone with some money or popularity to gain power in this market.
I think its a short respite to be followed by more sideways movement for a longer period of say 3-6 weeks. Possible larger decline in middle/end of Feb. before the bulls run..I have forseen it (sarcasm).
Jeff & Team, wanted to ask if anyone would take a look at the documentary I've started recently where I am using FREE faucet and mining sites to start with $0 investment and run it up. I've dubbed it the Free Crypto Run-Up. I'm working on a milestone roadmap beyond the $100 mark and plan to convert as well as reinvest to grow the portfolio. I feel it is an interesting narrative and will resound among those who are excited by this technology yet lack the financial ability to make investments. This would help others start to get a feel for having some (small as it may be) crypto and draw in more general public types. I don't have a background in tech, finance or communications (sales & biz mgmt) and I know my content needs to improve, I just feel I do have potential with a lot of enthusiasm and I am learning exponentially. Not sure the best way to integrate some exposure from AB, but would love to explore the possibility. If you'd like to discuss further, please let me know. No worries if not, I'm excited for the team and the growth you are seeing. I appreciate the content and the knowledge you've shared.

I have been hearing rumors about the Jan 26th date suggesting that there may either be a huge surge in bitcoin price or a huge drop due to futures. Does anybody know about this? I have been having troubles understanding how the futures markets affect bitcoin price
you and everyone else, including the pros. The picture may be more clear after we get through a few months of expiration. To my understanding, they are still settling in cash and not having to buy BTC to hold against the contracts
Like Jeff mentioned before, do you think we will continue to see consolidation until Lunar New year or will it rise steadily up until then?
Just echoing what @brandonfrye said above....Steem had a DAY today! Wow. And rightfully so. The masses will be coming here soon enough. And they'll love every minute of it.
