How to get started into Mining Cryptonight
Dear Fellows,
In Case of the Hypes around Altcoins due to the devastating Chart of Bitcoin, I went searching for an easy way to mine some Coins.
I had just a slight clue about the whole thing, so i ended up on Minergate, which allows you to get into Mining via GUI !
Also I dont have a good mining Rig, so I am not interested in making much Profit.
My decision is, to be part of the Community and maybe strengthen it by a personal Blog.

I recommend starting with mining BCN, XMR and maybe if you got a good setup, ETH.

when I tried I always got a 0 hash rate on monero. I might try again with BCN. I just have a $400 Dell laptop. Not sure it will mine anything.
So for a comparison : I got a Laptop (500 $) with Core i5 2,5 Ghz and Geforce GT740 M.
That gives me a hashrate of ~ 170 H/s on XMR (Monero).
I am mining on Minergate pool via Console, and AwesomeMiner which is a great tool.
That might push your Hashrate up 20 / 30 H/s .
Minergate is not scam and it does pay out !

Yes, this is a good idea ! If you maybe were using GUI v. 7.0 oder lower, just try to download the 7.1 Version. I've heard rumors about crashes and bugs in this Version.
Nvm, I am using a console miner like CCminer, CPUminer_opt to connect to minergate pool.
Ps: I can give you tips to switch to a console miner and get it running.
