Alpaca What?

I was prompted to know a bit about alpacas earlier this evening. Like, what do they eat? All I know is, I like them because of their childlike eyes, gentle face and fluffy appearance. I didn't know much except their hair which is called fleece is used for clothing. Digging for more information I found their fleece is light weight, softer and hypoallergenic. I am guessing theirs is a premium hair.

To answer the question above. They eat grass and as a herbivore they munch on shrubs and trees. Being the lovely fluffy creatures as they are, they only eat the top soft parts of the greens and would never uproot them. That is how friendly and mindful they are with the environment. It was nice to know that they got only two toes on each foot. Really? I wonder if they have issues walking. I hope they are just cool with that with what they have by nature.

Where did they come from? Judging from their resemblance to camels, are they from the desert? Hmm they actually are exported from Peru. I am not totally certain if other countries have them. Peru must have been blessed with these cuties. Well I guess I will end this little post here maybe more details next time.
