All about sunset: Starting over again ✨

“It was never too late to start over again”

After a long day where you felt incomplete and a total failure, guess what? It was never too late to start again. It may be hard to start all over again but the good news is Yes, you can. Or maybe you are afraid to do something you've tried before. Probably you fail on your previous attempt? It doesn't turned out the way you expected it? Well, the opportunity to grow and be better doesn't stop there.

So maybe you're wondering what's the connect of these phrases to #AllAboutSunset entry of mine? Well, I've been fond of sunset since then and as I reflect this is the rhema I got. At the end of the day, no matter how successful or disastrous your day, you can always count that there will be peace and a new beginning on the next day. It's also accepting the mere fact that one day shall end, but you'll be welcomed with another day aswell.

This is a not-so-recent work of mine. Actually, it was my Test work of sunset, and I guess my official entry for @gingbabida's contest of #AllAboutSunset - Mountains, you can check it out here. Last week I asked her if paintings/watercolor are acceptable for her contest, and she said Yes horaay! Since I got few captured moment of sunset, I thought of asking her anyways my the means of Art. And honestly speaking, this was my first attempt of Sunset landscape watercolor. I've always wanted to paint it, the hue and the combination of paints. Completely, it's mezmerizing. However it's not that easy as I thought so (or maybe I just don't own the right color for the orange-like-skies). I've been putting myself into a box wherein my watercolor world are just about Galaxy or Night Sky, I have countless galaxy works not to mention letterings but has galaxy effects. But then I decided to explore other landscape, oh how difficult it is to study and learn new stuff. One night I got frustrated for being a failure. I thought I waste money for wasting papers and paints. But then I realized, it will all be worth it. Soon. And then I have this gloomy sunset landscape, It wasn't the output I expected but the good thing was, I was able to accept and see the beauty on it just like how I see my other galaxy paints.

And last night, I attempt to paint another sunset all together with a touch of night sky.

And again, it wasn't the output I expected but I learned to appreciate and treasure it anyways. Besides, this is still part of my journey.

Although it wasn't the output I pictured in my mind still, I am grateful for it. Actually in every output I made. It might not be as perfect as it seems but for me, It shows my hardwork and heart for that certain piece. It taught me to appreciate myself and not to compare my works to other people's Art (That I always do, or we always do). Another thing that I learnt is to keep everything, not just because I treasure it but also because it serves as my motivation to grow. I mean who would not love to see their progress right? Ahhhh Such a joy to see you improve even for just 0.000000001%. So if I were you, even if that work is not as pleasing as you expected, still keep it. ☺

So going back to the Artwork, unlike the first work, I tried to combine sunset with my all time favorite Night sky. Wherein the upper portion is filled blue dark blue starry skies and the lower portion are the orange-yellowish skies together with the silhouette mountain.

Tip: Try to find a brigh orange paint or combine it with yellow to have a real-life sunset. I used vermillion paint, which is too dark for sunset. And Holbein paints are so pigmented it easily overpowers some paint. Hehe

And this Artwork is Inspired to one of our throwback photo when we visit Tagaytay.

This actually a sunrise, so what I did is the exactly opposite in the photo wherein orange-yellowish skies overpowers the night skies (with shooting stars and comets). This is what I'm telling you earlier, I only have few sunset photos. Hehehe and ain't no good in photography, maybe will try that next, soon.

To sum up everything, I would like to thank and give a huge gratitude to Ms. Ging for hosting the #AllAboutSunset contest this week. This contest gave me the opportunity to paint again and share it with you guys. And oh, I'll be a hypocrite if I tell you I wouldn't love to win her contest, believe me I wanted to. But beyond her contest I just wanted to spread goodvibes and a little pish to frustrated Artists, for them to go out of their comfort zone and try to explore stuff they afraid of. Horaaay!!! 🎨💞

Meanwhile, here's my piece and a pointed pen calligraphy of #AllAboutSunset. Oh how I miss doing Pointed pen calligraphy.🌄
