Isn't steemit password rule the funniest rule you have seen on the internet?

This is because Steem passwords work a little differently than passwords on other sites. When you create a password for steem, that password is used to generate the cryptographic keys that control your steem account. These keys have a public version that is visible to everyone in the world. If you don't have an extremely secure password, an attacker can easily use the public keys to reverse-engineer your password.
Please do follow the Steemit rules and don't try to choose your own password! In the early days of Steemit in 2016, people were allowed to choose their own passwords and this led to many many people having their accounts stolen.
Great explanation.
