Airtel Rs.597 Prepaid Recharge Plan Launched: Offers 10GB 4G Data, Unlimited Calling for 168 Days

Bharti Airtel has introduced a new prepaid plan for Rs. 597 and seems to target customers which high voice calling usage. This is a long validity plan with a validity of 168 days and offers unlimited voice calls, 10 GB data and SMS. The plan is valid for only select Airtel users and offers unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit. The Rs 597 plan also is one of the other combo packs from Airtel as Airtel has introduced unlimited voice calls on most of its combo packs.

There are no restrictions on which network the voice call is being made too and also there are no restrictions on National Roaming.
One may think that 10 GB data is too less for a period of 168 days, but Airtel has clarified that the offer is especially for users who do not have much data usage but use voice calls heavily.
The validity of 168 days is a bit offbeat as there is only one more of a plan which offers such a validity below Rs 1000. The free SMS limit would be 100 SMS per day which comes up to a total of 16800 SMS for a period of 168 days. The users will also get 10 GB data for the entire period of 168 days which is a bit low, but as mentioned, the plan is not targeting tech-savvy users, but users who have heavy voice call usage.
The Rs 597 is definitely better than the Rs 995 plan that Airtel had introduced previously because it offers more data and also does not put a cap on monthly data usage. Rs 995 plan had a validity of 180 days with unlimited calling, 100 free SMS per day and 1 GB data per month, totalling to 6GB data throughout the six months validity period.
Airtel vs Other Telecom Companies:
Airtel’s major competitor, Reliance Jio has also introduced a long validity plan for Rs 999. The plan comes with unlimited calling, 100 free SMS per day and 60GB of 4G data valid for a period of 90 days. The Rs 594 plan from Airtel is definitely better in terms of validity and unlimited voice calls but falls short of the data offers.
Moreover, BSNL had also introduced its long-term plan called Eid Mubarak plan as it was introduced on the occasion of Eid. The plan is priced at Rs 786 and comes with a validity of 150 days. Users under this plan can enjoy unlimited calls, and 300 GB data and 100 free SMS per day. The plan though looks very tempting and far better than the plan introduced by the competitors, it was a limited period offer for Eid and has already ended on 26th June 2018.
Other Long-term validity plans from Airtel:
This is not the only long-term validity plan introduced by Airtel, they also have the other long-term validity plans like Rs 995 plan valid for 180 days, Under this plan, you get unlimited calls, 6GB data and 100 free SMS per day. Apart from this, the company has also introduced Rs 448, Rs 499 and Rs 509 plans. The Rs 449 and Rs 499 plans are valid for a period of 82 days and RS 509 plan is valid for 9 days.
