What are Air Plants?
These plants are called air plants. Tillandsia is their correct name. They are called air plants because they get most of their nutrients from the air around them.
What and how do you take care of them?
Whether you're professional when it comes to these little beauties, or learning them for the first time, this is a great place to start.
These low maintenance plants are the perfect companions for the city, work or school. They do not need much retention and are good for greening any site, regardless of the season. You can find plants that perfectly match the amount of light they receive.
FIRST:
When you get your Air Plant Tillandsia for the first time, you should set it for 15 minutes and then let it dry completely and backward. Gently shake it upside down to make sure there is no water trapped between the leaves.
Once it is completely dry (so as not to convince it), you can turn your plant over, so that it is in place, and put it in your new home.
It is natural for the lower leaves to dry the plant while it is in transit. It is also good to eliminate them, as long as you are sweet with the plant while you do it.
T A R E R R A R I E R:
You must match the water with the weather. Spray and soak more frequently if it is hot and dry, and less frequently when it is cold, dark or damp.
He likes to have more saturated varieties and produces less impressive varieties with just a good full finish.
In general, the best way to take care of them is to soak 15 minutes to get once a week. The summers were a bit drier, so they soaked me once a week for about 30 minutes. And once again for 30 minutes in winter.
As always, allow them to dry completely before returning them to the house, to avoid mold.
They should not be placed on the floor and they love bright, indirect or artificial light, and require good air circulation.
SEARCH FOR:
The good news about whether they are thirsty is the curvature of the leaves for an air plant. They will interfere as they are drying too much.
Their roots are only to secure them as they grow, but do not need maintenance, and can be trimmed with clean, sharp scissors without damaging the plant.
If the tips start to dry, it is a sign that they may be receiving too much direct or slightly dry light. You can also cut the dry ends with clean scissors. Then, you should cure the care by removing it from direct sunlight or increasing water or play.
