DRUG ABUSE (NIGERIA AS A CASE OF STUDY)
The misuse of drug abuse is increasing rapidly every day by day. The drug which was meant to be prescribed by a physician or doctor based on the type of illness a person is going through is now being turned into self-prescription.
Drug mostly are being produced by a chemist. which must have undergo a professional course and has many years experience.
Drugs production involves the mixing of different chemicals which will now be allowed to form into desirable shapes by the manufacture.
It no longer a news anymore as Nigerian youth involves in excess consumption of narcotic drugs. some examples of this drug which was bound by the Nigerian drug task force are ;
TRAMADOL
The drug today is being classed as the number one selling drug for pain killer as it works effectively and fast. Nigerian youth involves in the excess consumption for the sake of highness, some even go to an excess for taking the 200mg or mixing with a mineral.
CODEINE
This drug is being prescribed to patient suffering from chronic cough. The idea of taking it in excess for highness is where i still don't understand where Nigerian youth got it from.
THE EFFECT
The effect of this drug is that it goes straight into the liver which helps in the conversion of drugs, alcohol or toxic substances. This drug since they works faster stresses the liver, now imagine excess consumption of this drug such individual could develop kidney failure.
