Air-clinic writing contest: my last headache
The plan to party till dawn was all shattered.
It was our last waec paper, which happened to be maths. Arrangement had been made to display fire work and to burn our uniforms, if possible beat up mr Hai who has been claiming, teacher invincible.
The exams started has planned, 30 minutes into the exams, i felt this sudden headache, which i ascribed to the maths i was solving.
I suspended the solving for a while, thinking the headache will subside, but the headache got severe. I took permission from the vigilator, with the excuse that i was feeling headache and needed to go to the school clinic for some tablet.
The permission was granted. Some friends of mine who were ignorant of my ordeal thought i was going out of the hall to source for expo.
After taking the paracetamol administered to me by the school pharmacist , the headache got even severe, this time around, the head was pounding like some benue women were pounding pounded yam in my head.
I was confused of what to do next, since the whole tablet i knew as drugs for headache were already taken by me, but the head was still pounding in pain.
There was this mama in the compound where i was renting, she noticed the in flow of students into my room, which prompt her to ask what the matter was, she was told i was down with headache.
My son, i think you have been stressed up by the exams you are writing, but don't worry the headache will soon go, the mama said as she went into her room and brought some white willow bark soaked in a hot water for me to drink.
It was not up to 20 minutes after taking the white willow bark that i started sweating and the headache was gone.
