Air-clinic writing contest: my last injury

They laugh out loud, when I declared my inability to ride motorcycle to them, I was ashamed and at the same time amaze at the expertise at which the children in that village were handling motorcycle.

The consequences of my inability to ride motorcycle was that, I have to trek some kilometres to the neighboring village to purchase some commodities I need since the only shop in the village does not sell all the commodities I needed, and it was more shame to me as a city boy I claim to be but could not even ride motorcycle and my grandfather has two motorcycle that could be used at my disposal.

Why not learn to ride the motorcycle since it wouldn't take me more than 5-7 hours to learn it, I reasoned, it sounded like a nice idea to me.
I called a friend of mine to please come and teach me how to ride the motorcycle, he was glad and excited not only because he wanted to teach me to ride the motorcycle but because he has been longing to handle my grandfather's new kawasuki motorcycle.

We were on the field learning to ride the motorcycle and everything was going smoothly, I even thought I was a fast learner because within two hour of learning, I was already riding with one hand.
I wanted to try my proficiency by riding on a foot path to the main road, so I took the motorcycle, kicked it, geared it, and journeyed to the foot path without the assistance of my friend, the going was smooth until I saw an okada man coming in the opposite direction on a full speed, I lost control into the bush, instead of holding the brake, I zoom further into the bush until I hit a tree and fell on the ground, all my body was bruised and my forehead was injured as a result of hitting my head on the tree.

I dragged the motorcycle to the field.
