FOR THIS WEEK, HERE ARE THE CASES FOR YOU TO ATTEMPT.

Case 1

Amanda just clocked 6years last month. She is a very active young girl who loves to play at school.

Today, after school, as usual, Amanda goes outside to play with her friends. She had already informed her mother that she was making beads today.

Thirty minutes later, she came back crying of ear pains and complaining that something was in her ear, she was rushed to a nearby hospital to see a doctor

  • What do you think is Amanda's medical problem (diagnosis)?
  • If you were a doctor, how would you solve the problem?
  • What lessons have you learned from this story?

Bridget is an 18-year-old who has never had a boyfriend for the past three years. One day, Tonia her roommate trys to find out her reason for this choice of life

'I am always sweaty', Bridget said as she sobs! Not only that, my hands are always shaky and I am afraid that no boy will like me because I am always losing weight despite all my efforts of eating well.

Tonia consoles her and advised her to see a doctor. so Bridget goes the next day to consult a doctor.

INTERVIEW SEGMENT

For this week’s TETE-A-TETE segment, meet our guest... - @scarletmedia.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Success Onyekachi Maduka, a graduate of Mass Communication. I've lived most of my life in the western part of Nigeria though I don't know a thing about the Yoruba language... Lol. My passion lies in Music and Sports. In my spare time, I study books of any kind or play video games.

WHY DO YOU LOVE AIR-CLINIC?

From the first day I saw the name air-clinic, there's been this attraction to it. So when I joined, I wasn't surprised at the initial feeling... I felt totally at home. Air-clinic bears so much love in its name. The founders, admins and radio heads altogether made it colorful. It got to the point that no day is truly complete without me hanging out in the clinic on discord. I wish to also say that air-clinic helped me develop my writing skills. I've become a better writer and a better blogger, thanks to air-clinic.

HIGH AND LOW POINTS ON STEEMIT

Frankly speaking, my high point on steemit was the time when 1 sbd could give me 3k naira. Yeah, those days are unforgettable. As for the low point, I have none. As long as I'm still able to share my knowledge with people through writing, I'm satisfied.

SECRET BEHIND YOUR USERNAME

I wish to own and run a media house someday which is how I came about the name, Scarletmedia. The name alone is a constant reminder and motivation for me to work extra hard to make sure that dream comes true.

CHALLENGES/SURVIVAL STORY IN BLOGGING

At first, it was quite easy to blog about what you love and still get votes. But later, things began to take a new turn. There were rules and "specific specifications" on how to write before getting curated by the right people. For me, it was more like someone telling me to change my style of writing and the motive behind the write-up.

FINAL WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE AIR-CLINIC FAMILY

Never stop dreaming. Never stop writing. Exceed your expectation and beat your best. Ignore the pressure and setbacks and stay focused on your dream. It only takes the grace of God. Have Faith in God, entrust your time and activities to Him and everything will fall into place.

Yayyyy..that's our Scarlet! Your writing is really really great love.

Amanda definitely has a bead stuck in her ear. I'm not sure if an ear flush would be the be the best way to get it out.

Seems I was on the right track for case 1 at least.

Great job here @antigenx in the compilation. Kudos. More steem to your elbow!

Last week first case, which features favour the diagnosis of klinefelter syndrome but against the testicular tumour?

Posted using Partiko Android

yea, twas klinifelters syndrome. There was no pointer towards a testicular tumour. The small firm testis was a descriptive data to aid diagnosis. There were no other signs of carcinoma in the examination findings..

see a doctor when the doctor finally examines him, he finds out that he actually has small round firm testes.

Testicular tumours can be a differential from 20, the patient usually experiences a painless swelling in one testis. The books say gynecomastia may occur in 5% of cases of testicular tumours (, but this is too rare to think of it)

Remember Klinifelters syndrome is characterized by hypogonadism (micro-orchidism) ie small testes and penis, gynecomastia, etc.

Klinifelters syndrome is the most appropriate diagnosis

Thank you doc for the explanation. Much appreciated
