We even love gifts more especially when there are no strings attached, no expectations, no hidden ties. We also love gifts when they are free! Not like the Greek gift with which Troy was destroyed.

WHAT IS A GIFT ECONOMY?

According to Wikipedia,

A gift economy, gift culture, or gift exchange is a mode of exchange where valuables are not traded or sold, but rather given without an explicit agreement for immediate or future rewards.
This contrasts with a barter economy or a market economy, where goods and services are primarily exchanged for value received. Social norms and custom govern gift exchange. Gifts are not given in an explicit exchange of goods or services for money or some other commodity.

So a gift economy exchanges something for nothing?

Well, "YES & NO".

A gift economy does frankly exchange value for nothing. Its a gift giftn't(Excuse my French) it? When you are giving someone a gift, do you expect something in return?

We know you do have certain expectations though. Like will your gift be accepted? Will your gift be used? The writer of this post has had an experience whereby a gift given was not used rather was given away. Well, disappointed is the appropriate expression in that case.

SO We DO HAVE SOME Latent Expectations In Our Gift!

Nope! Not in the common sense of it. You don't have to pay us. Even though we do accept donations and other useful gift services. Eg we will not refuse you writing about us, sharing our blog/discord link, using our banner, helping during discussions with your knowledge etcx.

Well, Yes. Our only expectation is that you become healthy after using what we give you for free. We expect that you actually apply the knowledge gained from the community and not just being there for being sake!

First of all, AIR-CLINIC is a medical facility built on the Steem blockchain. This enables us to give free medical services, health talks, curation services, community services just because we can.
