RE: Is Quantum Computing and Ai Existential Threat to Blockchain and CryptoCurrencies?

in #ai7 years ago

Yah, The tangle is pretty crazy, I've been watching it pretty closely here.... I'm thinking of investing... But it's got other issues...

Yes I have IOTA currency on my radar too... interesting didnt know about the quantum..part. Will write case study cor trading this...thanks for the input guys.

the quantum part is half bullshit. even the quantum computer companies don't really know where the technology is leading. For the most part, you can view quantum computing as using the universe itself as a processor... THe universe runs at a base frequency that they think they kind of understand, but they don't yet really. Depending on the type of quantum computing we end up with, noone can say their stuff is quantum proof :P But then again, I do need to research this quantum proof claim more... I don't know all too much about it and what they are claiming... But the tangle is interesting as I said... But I believe they have a centralization problem if I;m not mistaken. as in, they aren't really decentralized which is somehting I'm big on with this tech. Anything premined or not fully decentralized raises red flags for me. correct me if I'm wrong on that though as there is so much info out there it is hard to keep track of it all! :P But I like that they are focusing on the internet of things, that is somewhat where my gaze is as well :) Except I don't want to mindlessly use peoples CPU power to crunch hashes. I would like to spread that love around to BOINC projects and AI containment protocols as well. You know, useful stuff :P Hashing isn't necessarily useful or productive beyond making it harder to hash and somewhat more secure...
