AGFA - The Heading Drill

in #agfacademy6 years ago (edited)

Heading is so crucial that most players use the same technique in every given match.

In general, a forward uses a header to score a goal while a defender usually uses a header to prevent the scoring of a goal by the opponent. A header is the only option when the ball is in the air, because of the rule that a player can’t make contact with the ball using their hands.

About 60% of the goals scored during a match are as a result of a corner kick or crossing. The play places the ball in the air (above other teammates head) and then an attacker strikes the ball with his head into the goal post.

I would like to see more of this, make the videos longer please. You could use your arms for balance and protection. Good examples of heading in your short clip.

Sure and thanks Andre!
