MY AFRICA - Sub Article
The history of Africa cannot be discussed without alluding to the feats won and deeds done by some notable people of this tribe. These deeds and feats weren't seeming local achievements but international shattering records. It will be totally exhausting to mention the whole, but a few mentioned would be instructive.
Wangari Maathai,a Kenyan who was the first woman in east and central Africa to earn a doctoral degree founded the green belt movement in 1977.A movement aimed at trees planting and responding to rural vegetation. In the face of issues(10years imprisonment, humiliations and whipping),she continued her persistent struggle for democracy, human rights and environmental conservation.

She refused government benefits. Her desire was to fight the course to finish which is the trait of a normal African with prestige. This brought to her international commendation and a Nobel prize for supporting sustainable development ,democracy and peace. Her common saying is 'if you haven't dug a hole, planted a seed, watered it and had it grow, you haven't done a thing yet'.
The unending number of African icons flood the globe but something noticeable as a trait in them all is their persistence, hardwork, zeal for knowledge, desire to stand for the right cause.
Africa isn't devoid of young individuals towing this path of greater future but we trust that our political, economic and educational system and its present state drive us to achieving our aims.
Acknowledging the acts of these great men and women of Africa is something we should reckon into. They made and lead the path which we follow today. I am black and I am proud of Mama Africa.
So much, the land is so pure and green, place is so cool and nice, her trees have the only cure.
This goes to show how blessed and endowed Africa is. Not only is it endowed with Natural reseources, but also human resources.
