It took centuries for many developed countries in Europe, North America, Asia, Antarctica and Australia to evolve and attain their status quo. But for Africa, comparing the growth rates in cities over the past few years e.g Kigali, Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Dares Salaam, Adis Ababa etc We all couldn't agree any less that Africa is on it's way to become the fastest Civilized Continent in the World.

Taking Lagos West Africa Nigeria for example, the Largest commercial city in West Africa under 60 years old; The World Bank had classified Lagos as one of the most densely populated yet one of the greatest economy in the World.

Urban Development is once a western World attribute, now it has metamorphosed beyond the Shores of Continents like Europe and North America and extended to the likes of Asia and Africa which are considered home to most 3rd World countries.

A key to key to this development rate in these African Cities is Self Sustainability and harnessing the Coastal Advantages of most major Cities. A continent which is a reserve to Numerous Natural Resources, hence each communities are now been educated on the impact of conservation of their natural resources and tenable productive efforts like Law and Order, Traffic Management, Waste disposals/Recycling, Sanitation and education etc.

Africa is on the Horizon of overcoming institutional and financial barriers, the focus is on urban development and maintenance through the different sustainable projects by the United Nations, World Bank and World Health Organization.

Let's all hope that Africa continues to prosper as it should and the bad players keep their hands off! Peace.

Amen!

Let's keep saying prayers for our Continent.

Africa is indeed a peculiar continent. The color of its people is distinctively different. The culture is clear and human. And, what's more civilization starts in Africa. Proud to belong here. Yeah, I'M HOT 'COS I'M BLACK.

Am not sure if i digested well
Are you saying that if focus is placed on urban area then there would be result?

Nope!

The topic is about the pace at which Africa is developing compared to other Western Continents!

Anytime i try to imagine a picture of what africa will look like in the next 25years, i see a marvel in everything....keep developing Africa...

Africa?
Is she really developing at all?
Humm, the future will tell.
You and i, what role are we playing to building the country

Depends on you and your convictions plus the history of Urbanization of other Continents you know, regarding what role we are playing to build this country; let that be a question between you and your growth plans!

Smiles. Ok then. Thanks

never seen a continent as blessed as Africa, sad to say also we are the least developed. europe wouldnt be what it is today without the massive treasure they looted off us during the colonial eras. that being said since we were left alone what could we amount to nothing,be it as it may be i believe in a better africa and Nigeria have a major role to play in it by virtue of being the most populous black nation. i hope sooner or later we get to where we ought to be. away from that, am a newbie and would appreciate any love shown to me by upvoting, resteeming or giving me a follow. i sure would reciprocate same. help me grow in this platform guys

We definitely will dear @justiceweje

Lagos is the business hub of our Country Nigeria amd Africa. The shear number of people living in that city alone gives it an advantage as humans are the most important natural resource. I pray the economies of places like Port Harcourt, Benin, Abuja, Awka, Owerri, Uyo, Calabar, Jos, Warri, Asaba, Kaduna and Yenagoa all grow to the extent that we won't always have to run to Lagos for opportunities

There are so many limitations right now but I'm sure we'll soon break forth. We'll soon be forgotten to have once been a 3rd world country
